Prayers needed!

Brittany and I have known each other since we were born and our moms have been close friends and worked together for about 30 years. You can read the entire story on the blog, but her water broke at 25 weeks and while they were happy to prolong delivery for 4 weeks, she delivered Gaines Daniel yesterday at 29.5 weeks. The situation has been very serious in the last 24 hours and they are really in need of prayer at this very moment. Please feel free to share the request with anyone you know that will pray!

Weekend Fun

We have had a great weekend filled with a variety of activities around the house. Yesterday, Turner and I helped Mark plant the rest of our garden for this year - we currently have squash, tomatoes, broccoli, watermelon, pumpkins, and sunflowers! Once they really start to sprout, I'll share some pics. Turner had an absolute ball digging her hands in the dirt and "helping" me re-pot a plant - all the while dumping out three of her daddy's water buckets while we worked! There are no pictures because by the time I realized it was a photo op for her, we were all so incredibly dirty and wet I couldn't even justify coming inside to get the camera! However, I will share a picture of Turner from last weekend as she was aquainted with a caterpillar for the first time - you should have heard her squeal!

Last night I was washing a few clothes and turned around to see Turner opening the wipes container from her diaper bag. I assumed she would empty them all into the floor and make a mess, but was trying to get the clothes hung up so I didn't say anything to her. I turned around to see her "cleaning" with a wipe - she didn't dump all of them out like I assumed - she just got out one and started to wipe down the doorframe, trash can, and the floor! She's a girl after my own heart! (Yes - she is clad only in a diaper - did I mention that the buckets of water she dumped out were partially dumped on her? She also is sporting her first "ponytail" which looks more like a bad "rat-tail", for those of you familiar with that lovely site. We were trying out some new rubber bands, but the hair isn't quite long enough yet!)



Today, we worked a little more outside and then set out to purchase some outdoor toys for Turner. This little girl LOVES to be outside - and might I say she is perfectly content to just play in the dirt, grass, bushes, puddles, etc. - but we wanted her to have some ways to channel her energies outdoors. I have been researching online, and we found a combo sand/water table and a slide that we wanted at KMart (read: no delivery needed)! Mark worked feverishly while Turner got a bath to get this slide put together - here are a few pictures of her enjoying it tonight (mind you - this all took place around 9pm which is an hour past her bedtime). She definitely fell off backwards her second time up, and she definitely pitched a major fit when it was time to really go to bed!

When Tootsie comes to town...

...Turner has a ball! Tootsie was on Spring Break this past week, so after some appointments in Montgomery she just continued driving this direction to spend the night with us on Friday evening. She picked Turner up from daycare Friday and they went straight to Hickory Dickory Park for some afternoon fun. (Which also freed me up to go accomplish some things I wanted to do alone - how nice!!) Then this morning, Tootsie took Turner to the mall while Mark and I ran errands. Turner rode the motorized cars for the first time, had her favorite Chick-fil-a lunch, and got some new shoes! Tootsie we love it when you come and visit!! (And Pop - you come back soon too! We love how pretty our yard looks after all of your hard work last weekend!!)

This little boy decided to approach Turner and attempt to kiss her - twice! Turner, as you can see in her face, is not really used to that type of affection from strangers. (His mom apologized profusely - he has a 6 month old sister and apparently he thought Turner wouldn't be any different!)

Easter Fun

Saturday we took Turner to our church Easter egg hunt. We were very excited to have Tootsie, Pop, and Aunt B in town to join us for the fun! The weather was beautiful and we had a wonderful time - Turner's really good at finding eggs thanks to a few "lessons" with her Daddy last week. Here are a few pictures of the fun!

Weekend Fun!

Here are a few pictures taken yesterday as we celebrated our friend Kirkley's 2nd birthday! We had a wonderful time at her Aubie themed party and Miss Holly had some yummy treats that Turner thoroughly enjoyed - specifically the precious paw print cheese sandwiches! A special thanks to the Muncies for welcoming Turner's Tootsie to the party since she was in town visiting. Happy birthday Kirkley!
