Swings and Skates

Today has been busy and filled with fun!

After school, Turner and I joined some friends at Hickory Dickory Park! This was the first time for Turner to meet her friend Francie Powell - they are about 3 months apart in age and Francie's parents and I grew up together in Andalusia. We are so excited they'll grow up together! Our friend Kirkley was there also - we always enjoy her company - and we met two new friends as well. (Turner didn't actually meet these people as she was asleep the entire time!! But you get the point...)

Turner and Francie

Tonight Turner experienced the skating rink for the first time! Mark's Camp War Eagle staff had a skating social and we dropped in for a few minutes. I wanted to skate with Turner for what I thought would be a super photo op, but Mark wasn't having it! Although I didn't skate tonight (the music was a little much for Turner and we weren't there long), I have skated at these socials in the past and I always surprise myself! The ability to skate comes back quickly (I can even still skate backwards!) and it always takes me back to those Saturdays I spent at skating birthday parties as a child! Anyone up for the Hokey Pokey, the Limbo, or Red Light Green Light?
As you can see, Turner was very uncertain of the environment at the skating rink! She does, however, like anything that lights up so the disco ball kept her attention for a while. She still didn't want to get too far from Mommy and Daddy!

Yes we had an awesome time in Vegas. You are right, there is not enough time in the world to see everything in Vegas. We had a blast though, we were ready to get back to reality- because Vegas is not reality. Anyways, Brooke got me hooked on blogging, so I will definitely add you to my page. I love the skating rink pictures. She is a brave girl to go out there on rink! See you tomorrow

My 4th birthday party was at a skating rink...they had a skate the size of a car that the birthday boy or girl got to ride around the rink in...it was classic! It was awesome!
