New addiction

I have a fun new toy - a new Nikon D-80 camera. This was my Mother's Day/Birthday/Anniversary present from Mark - he even gave me a card for each of those events with the camera. He's awesome - he knew what I wanted and he made it happen. However, he did try to say it was going to also be Valentine's Day 2009 and I told him that we can only count it for holidays in the CURRENT calendar year. :)

It is by far the most advanced camera I have ever used and I have a lot yet to learn! But it's so very cool. I wanted a camera that would take high quality pictures on a moments notice and one right after another without waiting on shutter time. I certainly got what I wanted - this camera is amazing! The difference in zoom and picture quality from what I previously had is tremendous and I even have editing/retouching capabilities right on the camera.

One of the many reasons I wanted a camera of this type is to take close up pictures of tiny things about Turner that I am afraid I will forget as she gets older...like how long her eyelashes are and how tiny her hands are. I am totally in awe that I can capture these things now with perfect clarity! Thank you Mark - you are the best.

Oh Sarah, know that this is an addiction I so understand! I got a new camera last summer and Wade has been adding "parts" to it for every holiday since. I can't wait to take it to Disneyland in a couple of hours! Enjoy -- I think photos are a wonderful wonderful thing!! (Specially of that sweet baby!) Love ya'll!
