I decided to split these into multiple posts so that I could somehow manage sifting through and posting some of the best of the 500 pictures I took last week when we visited Mark's family in Louisiana.
(Yes, I really took 500 pictures. I am sure they make medication for this addiction...) We arrived on Wednesday evening and had three fun filled days at the lake with Granny and Grandpa. The captions of the pictures will tell the story...Who is a Louisiana girl without her Mardi Gras beads?

"I want to wear a hat like Grandpa!"

Riding with Granny

Turner got to dig for potatoes...

...and she found one!

Turner LOVED the good dirt in Louisiana - she couldn't stop digging her feet deep down in it and would shout "dirt!" when we'd pass the garden outside. It's an interesting paradox, she's a prissy princess who loves dirt and being dirty!

She also picked some snap beans and learned to snap them in half.

The squirrel on the tree was very gracious in allowing Turner to come about 2 feet from him. I honestly thought she would have touched him if he would have let her!

Turner loved wearing her "pack-pack" and jumping off the steps to Mommy.

And this little girl LOVES to fish with her Daddy.

Daddy and Grandpa caught lots of fish and Turner loved seeing them...

...up close and personal...

...and even shared her pool with them!
Yes, this probably classifies us as rednecks. Face it folks, that's just how we grew up!

Turner ended the first day of our visit with a night-time walk on the pier with her main man.
