Flapjack Fest 2010

Last Wednesday night, we joined Mark on campus for "Flapjack Fest", an annual fund raising event for a CWE scholarship endowment. We arrived on campus and got out of the car at the precise moment that the tornado sirens started blaring...but by that point we'd made the effort to quickly run home after school, change into our custom made Flapjack Fest shirts, and I was too committed to the trip to turn back.

So, we arrived in the student union to find everyone banished to the bottom floor for what we thought would be an hour. You can imagine Mark's stress level with a major event like this set to begin in less than 30 min and his entire staff is sitting around "in the basement". Thankfully, we were quickly told that the warning had been lifted and plans proceeded as normal - even opening the doors as scheduled at 6pm despite the delays.

Here are a few pics from the evening!

Turner cheesing for the camera with Miss Lauren.
Check out her custom made XXS shirt - this was Daddy's idea!
"See you later Mommy."
"Can I please get some pancakes now?"
Her plate started out looking like this....and was empty after about 5 min."
So she went back for more! :)
Smiling with Daddy before we had to leave.
