August started with a Family Fun Day at church beginning at Hickory Dickory Park. Strategic playing with an aim of inviting other park guests to come share a hot dog and join us for some fun at church that evening.
Minute-to-win-it games at church provided much laughter! If you could combine the next two pictures...we'd both have our eyes open. :)
August starts out with a bang as we welcome back new and old teachers to begin a new school year.
As summer ended for Turner, she and Mark sneaked away one day for adorning matinee movie of Mr. Peabody and Sherman.
These three girls are daughters of board members of the Lee County Distinguished Young Woman program. And just so happens, all of their moms are teenage friends from Andalusia.
I started school a few days before Turner, so i had a wonderfully sweet surprise about 8:30am on my first day of school!
Turner is in Mrs. Reeves' first grade class at Lee-Scott Academy this year. She is really enjoying first grade and has been all smiles from day 1 - which is a huge blessing for us!
This was the smile Mark sent me as he left her at her seat on the first day! Makes this mom's heart feel good!
This year we are being picked up by Miss Sarah, a former student of mine and student at Auburn. This allows for much earlier dance classes and the addition of a baton class this year, but the highlight of the week is getting to ride to and from dance with our friend Francie. I think they love the 2 minutes spend in Francie's mom's office the most.
