Anyhow, I have noticed lately that Turner wants to touch EVERYTHING she sees and will just about jump out of my arms to get to things that are interesting to her. We have learned to keep our plates out of her reach and to hold our drinks tightly when we are holding her. Well, the other day she had been fussy when I put her down to prepare her bottle, so I was holding her trying to keep her calm while I dipped out the powder. Before I knew it, her little hand was in the can and she pulled it right off the counter onto the floor.
After a couple of deep breaths (while pondering the thought that there was a huge mess to clean up, not to mention $5 worth of formula wasted on the floor) I tried to put her down to clean it up. This is what Turner thought of that idea...
We've also discovered that Turner LOVES to crinkle, tear, and eat paper! She ripped and probably ate some of my grocery list the other night in Wal Mart, she ripped the paper off the doctor's table today at her check up, and she's taken a strong liking to ripping and crinkling magazine pages. Thus, my den floor looks like this...
And I know it's only the beginning!

My niece does both. She is now 10 months old and full of energy! And she loves to tear paper as well. I love watching her grow!
I loved all the beach pictures!
Take it from this Mommy of four...there is NO bad age! The trips are 11 and Cate is two and I have loved every stage along the path! Don't let anyone rain on your parade...you will enjoy every step as much as you enjoyed all the other firsts...and you will learn to laugh at all the messes (and if occasionally you forget to count to ten...well, she'll be ok with that too!!) Love you all -- and love that sweet little girl that looks just like the two of you! Carol and my crew
:-) Remember the time you gave Haley Kate paper in Sunday school!!
jacks has been WAY into paper for a very long time, now. the first thing he learned to do was "spit it out." it is honestly the only thing i can ask him to do that he will actually do! i was telling someone about how he will spit things out while he was eating a brownie one time, and as he overheard me say it, he began to extract chewed brownie from his mouth. give it a shot with turner - if she is a "things in mouth" baby, you'll need it!
and people only say things about ages because they don't have much else to talk about. turner is going to be fun ALWAYS!! even when she's being difficult, you will be enjoying every moment. :)
Your house will never be the same and neither will your heart! Children are a blessing at all ages. Mine are 9, 6, and almost 2 and each day is an adventure. On the not so fun days, I try to remember that they won't be little long. I'm sure one day I'll will wish there was a toddler sitting on my hip, dirty shoes coming up the steps, sticky kisses on my nice clean pants and messy handprints on the vanity...
I was talking to Lindsay at lunch today, and she had seen this blog {somehow I had missed this one}, and we were saying that Turner and Savannah could be the same person--especially with the tearing and crinkling of the paper. ADORABLE!
