Happy Father's Day to Mark and Pop(my dad, Pete)! As far as I am concerned, there are no better fathers on the planet.
Let me tell you a little about Mark's first Father's Day. Sundays are usually busy for me (I am a musician at my church),but today was especially crazy since in addition to my regular duties I had to sing with a ladies group. Mark was in charge of juggling Turner's needs with helping take up the offering/ushering at church today. As they are praying before our song, I happen to look up and see Mark in the back of the church motioning that he's going home. When I ask why he points at Turner and then at the back of his pants...indicating that she's had a blow-out diaper and messed up her clothes. (Of course a brand new outfit I had saved for today...which is also why "good church clothes" pictures didn't get taken today.) So, Mark heads home to change her outfit and change his pants which had gotten soiled as he was trying to clean her up. He then makes sure that even in his haste, that the house is picked up and clean since we had a showing while we were at church today. They head back to church, he makes it through Sunday School and the second service ushering duties, then he heads to Kroger to pick up tea and chicken for lunch and home to cook cornbread before the rest of us get home from church.
Didn't I tell you he was awesome?!!
The most amazing thing is that Mark doesn't think anything about any of this. He never wants special recognition and makes it quite difficult to do anything special for him since he's always putting everyone else first. He's my perfect helpmate, a marvelous father to his daughter, and a servant to many. We are richly blessed because he's OURS! Happy Father's Day Mark!!

Happy Father's Day, Mark!!!! I just want to say that I had no idea that you posted a video until a few hours ago. I feel like I am a complete copy cat for posting my video this morning. I'm sure you won't mind though...I LOVE the new look of your blog. I definitely see you in that background! It reminds me of the pants you wore to Tiger stomp in 2000 or 2001...can't remember what year;)
