I wish I could record everything Turner says each day. She makes us laugh every single day with her singing, creative story telling, and all-too-honest observations about daily life in Turner world.
For example, last week she told Mark what she wanted to be when she grows up:
A doctor.
A rock star.
An artist.
A cheetah.
I guess we could say that the first three show a good bit of self-confidence, a compassionate spirit, and the need for creativity? All of which I desire for her. Now to be a cheetah...hmmm....
Turner is a very creative child, and loves anything related to crafts, paint, glue, glitter, cutting, etc. Turner spent a Hobby Lobby gift card that she got for Christmas on three Sticky Mosaic craft kits (thanks to Mark's keen eye) made by The Orb Factory. She totally loved these "sticker-by-number" activities, but the crown was a real hit.
Here's a conversation she had with Mark about her sticker crown:
Mark: "Turner that's such a pretty crown."
Turner: "Yes, I am so excited...I've never seen a REAL crown before!"
Mark: "Yes you have, you've seen Mommy's crown."
Turner: "No, her crown is just plain silver. This is a real crown!"
And lastly...I'll leave you with her commentary on a recent episode of flatulence that she found to be particularly funny. Bodily noises are hilarious to Turner, and we often wonder what she says in public when these types of things happen and we aren't around. Last week, she passed gas and it sounded like a machine gun. Turner giggled and said, "There's a firework in my hiney!"
Turner is our daily source of entertainment, humor, humility, and joy. Talking to her can make the world's pressures and frustrations fade into the background. We try hard to ENJOY every moment with our sweet girl
