HIS KIDZ "LifeSchool Musical" 2013

Turner enjoys the music/theater group at church, HisKidz. She has participated for two years now and looks so forward to their performances a couple of times a year.

Rehearsals are usually every Sunday night, but this year we started Wednesday and Sunday night rehearsals for April and May.  After a long dress rehearsal this past Saturday morning, the kids enjoyed a pool and pizza party to celebrate their hard work.  It was obviously the first swim of the season and it was pretty chilly!

The whole crew!

On Sunday, May 19th, "Life School Musical" was themed around a group of school children who had some rather interesting visitors from the past (Pastor John Spiritus Baptiste) who helped them find the real key to life - Jesus.  Turner was Faith, a cheerleader for Life School and she had a both a speaking part and musical solo.

Cherre Norman is the main director of this group and her sweet boys presented her with flowers since the performance was on her birthday.  Her husband is serving our country in Afghanistan for a few more months and I know it was bittersweet that he wasn't able to be here for this special event and day.

These musicals just get better and better every year and I am so grateful for the service of these sweet church members who dedicate their time and energy to faithfully share the gospel with our kids each week.  Turner is an auditory learner so she retains so many of the Bible truths and verses that she learns through these musical events.  I am thankful for this ministry!
