LSA End of the Year Farm Party

Turner has absolutely loved her Pre-K year at Lee Scott Academy and has developed many sweet friendships.  I have been astounded at the amount she has learned and how her curiosity about the world has been enhanced by her fabulous teacher, Mrs. Leonard.  We were sad to see the year end!

I was fortunate to be able to join Turner's class today for their end of the year celebration at a local farm. The weather was sunny yet cool and provided a wonderful ending to a great year.

Wallace, Lily, Avery and Turner - I just love these expressions!

I will admit I was a bit stressed at this particular moment, when it appeared that this dedicated farm hand was about to let my child go in the pen with that mammoth animal.

Tripp, Turner, and Max - my girl loves these two boys who were some of her best buddies this year.

After watching her grasp this rabbit and the subsequent drop to the ground, I determined that we needed to have a quick lesson on appropriate carriage of animals!  You can see we aren't animal people...

Turner and Wendy with some hilarious llamas.

By the end of the morning we had made great progress in holding our furry new friend!

Turner and her best friend Avery enjoying a few last minute swings together before summer officially began.

Mrs. Leonard spent what I would imagine are countless hours putting together personalized scrapbooks for each child.  What a wonderful snapshot for us to see so many of Turner's daily activities and adventures in Mrs. Leonard's class this year!  This was such a special treat and is something we will treasure forever.
