Art camp 2013

Last week Turner participated in a three day art camp through Auburn Parks and Recreation.  She had a wonderful time and came home with six beautiful works of art!

The made flower hats off the inspiration of some art pieces featuring fields of flowers.
Turner and Mark at the end of camp art exhibition, complete with artwork hanging in a gallery and a program that contained the names of the artists.  I thought the exhibition was a special touch to this experience.

Miso inspired crayon resist

Weaving - which Turner loved!

Turner with her teacher, Maya, who is one of my former students and one of the most talented 6th grade artists I've ever known.  It is such a treat to see the successes of former students, and Turner loved getting to spend time with Maya this week.

I have a feeling that this won't be the last time we participate in this art camp - Turner loved every second!
