We are finally close enough to completion that we've discussed approximate closing dates. I think we are looking at somewhere between December 30th and January 9th. Originally, I was a little sad about the fact that we wouldn't spend Christmas in our new home, but after talking with others who have been in the same position I am convinced it's for the best. I get tremendous joy out of decorating for Christmas, so needless to say Christmas this year is going to be a little different for me with all my decorations boxed up in storage. However, rather than rush into moving and stress about getting decorations up for Christmas day, next year I will be able to decorate normally and fully enjoy Christmas in our home! (Can you tell I have had to do some "self-talk" here to convince myself of this??)
Anyhow, the house has really changed a lot in the last week, and certainly a good bit since the last post. When the granite was installed this past week it really started to sink in how much I love this house and how proud I am of what we've accomplished in building something we love. Enjoy a few new pictures!
