Fall Festival 2011

Several years ago our church started doing a "trunk or treat" where families passed out candy as dressed up children passed by the tailgate of their vehicle.  Originally a small activity for our church families, this has now morphed into a massive Fall Festival outreach event for our church.  Mark is on the children's ministry team and was one of the coordinators for this year's event and thanks to much hard work and planning it was a rousing success!  We had over 1100 people fill our church parking lot for games, candy, food, and fellowship - it was quite a night!

Showing off her butterfly costume! Turner wanted to be "Bat Girl" - we have no idea why?  Thankfully, she spotted some pretty wings and decided on butterfly instead.  Too bad the wings were so enormous that she had to walk sideways to go through doors!

Turner and her best buddy Aubrey who she stays with each day before and after preschool.

Turner playing Plinko with one of our precious senior adults, Mrs. Pat, who is showing off her beautiful hair coming back in after a nasty battle with cancer.  Pat (and her husband Bob) are true examples of what it means to never get "too old" to serve the Lord - they are tireless servants in our church and I am grateful for their example!

Turner with her good friends from preschool Euro and Jiyeon.  She has really formed a sweet friendship with these girls and looks forward to seeing them each day!

Turner and our pastor Bro. Chris!  Check out that look on her face...

I just loved these two friends holding hands!
