Happy Easter 2013

Turner wrote a letter to the Easter Bunny and decided to put it in a pine straw nest that she and Pop crafted the day before Easter.

It's hard for us to do Easter Bunny in the traditional manner I did growing up (finding my Easter baskets in the bushes early on Sunday morning) because of my responsibilities at church.  So, Turner actually ran outside in her nightgown to see if the Easter Bunny had left a treat in the nest...she determined he had not and I suggested perhaps he would visit while we were at church.

Before exploring her Easter treats, we found that one of our neighbors had "egged" us.  Turner read the instructions and enjoyed finding 7 treat filled eggs hidden in our yard and one empty egg representing the empty tomb.   And for the record, her dress was actually my dress nearly 27 years ago!  :)

Family photo time!

Seriously Turner??  Look how proud she is of herself for being silly during our picture!

After lunch the kids on our street had a the final egg hunt of the season in our yard and Anderson's yard.  Such fun to have neighbors and kids Turner's age always available to play!

Looking for the golden egg...
...and for the second consecutive year Turner found the golden egg!

My sweet neighbor Owen - I just love this kid!

These two crack me up - you know it's dangerous when they break out the hose and starting pointing!

We had a wonderful Easter celebration with family and friends!
