Tootsie and Pop were here for the weekend and Tootsie captured this precious picture of Turner watching my Dad shave.
Turner had fun at the A-day game with Tootsie and Pop - her first A day game!
After church we discovered that we had been "egged" again this year. Our sweet neighbor had hidden 8 eggs in our yard - 7 filled and 1 empty to represent the empty tomb.
Turner told us on Saturday night that she remembered that the Easter Bunny comes while we are at church. Then she got her feelings hurt in Sunday School when the other kids were talking about what the Easter Bunny brought them. She rationalized that it didn't seem fair that, "they got their stuff early because we live so far on the other side of town and it takes him too long to get here before church." Bless her heart. When we got home from church, the Easter Bunny had left some treats but Turner walked right past them hidden in the bushes. I thought we were about to have a full on melt-down by this point…and then she discovered the basket.
The Easter Bunny seemed to know that Turner has really been wanting an official fishing pole!
And oh, by the way, she was diagnosed with strep on Good Friday…so the Easter Bunny knew she needed a new toothbrush. He's so smart.
If you are squatting down…in an heirloom dress...checking out your fishing lures that you got in your Easter Basket. You….might be a redneck.
Obviously Mark likes the Ivy and Bean book series as much, if not more, than Turner does!
And then the photo session began…. :)
This was not staged. A sweet surprise from the man who typically loathes when anyone suggests a photo session in the yard after church. I do love him so.
And since we have family members who live too far away to be here in person on Easter, here's your 2 minute recap of Turner unpacking her Easter basket. She is such a nut - who knew toothbrushes were so exciting?
So thankful for all the fun of Easter…but most thankful for a living Savior!
