Prayers needed

This past January, Turner started a tumbling class at Auburn Gymnastics Academy.  It was a mommy-and-me class and Turner became good friends with a little girl named Mary Elliot.  I became a casual acquantiance of her mom, Keri Ann, who was expecting her second child, a son.

I learned tonight that this precious baby boy, Fisher, was born this past Sunday having only half of his heart.  His parents had no prior knowledge of this condition and are very much in need of your prayers as they navigate this terrifying and unfamiliar road.

Today, 3 day old Fisher has endured a 6+ hour open heart surgery and is currently recuperating in the operating room of Children's Hospital with the staff of surgeons and nurses who performed the surgery present for the next 24 hours.  In the event something goes wrong, another operation would begin immediately.  Assuming the next 24-48 hours go as planned, his chest will remain open for the next few days, in the event of another surgery being required.  (That is an image I cannot even fathom as a mother.)

This family is facing the reality of a 4-6 month hospital stay, and several more surgeries in that time frame. They are in desperate need of a miracle.  Please add Chris, Keri Ann, and Mary Elliot (age 4) to your prayer list and share with anyone you believe will lift Fisher up in prayer.

The doctors told them it was a "miracle of God" that he survived delivery and the act of inhaling his first breath - we are praying that God has a mighty plan for this little boy's life!

Bless their hearts, I cannot imagine! We will pray with you! I also reposted this to facebook as a prayer request.

Sarah-I know Keri Ann, but had no idea she'd had Fisher. We are also casual acquaintances from the girls activities...please let me know if you have a way to contact them or send a note, etc. I will be praying. Thanks, Maggie
