What are going to do now??

That was a common question around our house this weekend. Mark and I took Turner to Montgomery Friday night to meet my parents and she went to Andalusia for the weekend - her first time to spend two nights in a row away from us. (We took a one night trip to South Carolina when she was about 3 months old...but that's the only other night she's been away from both of us at once.) I'll admit, deciding to do this wasn't easy for either of us. However, I kept on pushing for this because we are about to enter the Camp War Eagle crunch - the one that takes my husband away from home A LOT. It is really one of our least favorite months of the year. I wanted some time with him all to myself before it really got crazy this year. Selfish - maybe. Do we regret it - NOT AT ALL! (For that matter, we have already said we'll be doing it again soon!!) We started the weekend with an impromptu dinner date at Laredo's and then we started getting a little silly about our new freedom...What are we going to do now? What do we do tomorrow? Can we sleep late?! We did manage to accomplish a ridiculous amount of things around town and around the house, and our marriage has been refreshed, renewed, and made ready for the tough month ahead. The best part is that Turner didn't have a problem at all - she's such a good girl and always adapts so quickly. THANK YOU Tootsie and Pop for keeping Turner for us. You are a blessing to us!

Now, for the pictures of Turner's weekend in Andalusia. As I opened these tonight I couldn't help but laugh...you can tell they pretty much did anything and everything that would entertain Turner. I love how the pictures were a running account of her activities all weekend - we asked them about what they did, but the pictures were much more telling! For those of you who don't know how I grew up, these may make you question the color of my neck...but riding in wheelbarrows, and visiting Tractor Supply Stores are just part of who I am (thus part of who Turner is). Enjoy!!

Helping Pop plant flowers - she loves the good dirt! (Love the lime green bow that matches nothing she has on!!?)

Playing in the birdbath

Riding her John Deere (that we now own) in the Tractor Supply Store

Pop took her for a ride on a dollie... (I promise I sent clothes!)

...and in the wheelbarrow...(However, I did not send this outfit??!)

...and again on the dollie!

And finally a dip in the pool to cool off!

*I really got a chuckle out of the dirty clothes bag - there was almost NOTHING in there!! She pretty much just got her play clothes dirty, but you can see that even after a while they just gave up on that also and went with diaper only! Hilarious!

The clothes...and hairbow...crack me up. My girls look like ragamuffins (hair down and maybe brushed) from pictures with grandparents. I guess they are so cute in their eyes, they need nothing more! :)
