Turner met up with Aubrey at the 10am Tuesday movie - Despicable Me 2.
July 4th provided to be relaxing and low key, but Turner's request for a re-do of last year's July parfaits lets me know we are building traditions on laid back holidays such as this. Last year admid the torrential downpour we ate these out of our crystal stemware watching movies on the couch. This year we ate them out of ziploc plastic in the grass watching fireworks. Reality.
We spent as much time at the pool as possible this summer and this little one has grown so wonderfully in her water confidence!
Sometimes we just make our own parfaits - no celebration or holiday needed.
Camp War Eagle ended quickly this year and it seemed like perhaps the shortest summer of CWE I can recall. Turner enjoyed waiting for her Daddy at the Cam Newton statue each week before the pep rally. Let me call your attention to the black stuffed animal in Cam's left hand. She remembered that she had put it there at approximately 10:30pm that evening…and like the super dad he is, Mark walked back over there and found it for her. He is simply the best.
Beautiful roses as a surprise for my birthday - given by my exhausted husband after a long evening (think 4am) at the CWE banquet. He works to make my birthday special even though it comes at the worst time of year for him.
1st grade school supply shopping! I still can't get enough of the smell of a new box of crayons!
Mark got a new lawnmower and the kids on our street got a new toy! With a little duct tape and some creativity this box made for a really run play house for an evening.
Since I had gotten to go with Turner to the summer matinee movie, Mark wanted to get in on the fun. Turner and Mark went to see "Mr. Peabody and Sherman" and snapped a quick selfie on the way.
Tons of fun memories in July!
