Fall Festival 2009

Tonight was the fall festival at our church and we had SUCH a wonderful time! Turner has been quite afraid of Halloween costumes/decorations etc. so we didn't know how she'd respond, but she was really amazingly wonderful about everything and had a great time playing games and getting candy!

Let me take this opportunity to thank Samantha for thinking of us and sending this costume our way - we got so many compliments on it and it fits perfectly! I also want to acknowledge how awesome my husband is....when I couldn't find black tights at Wal-Mart, Target, or Kohl's, he went to K-Mart and 5 stores in the mall before finding one pair at Belk. It took him over an hour last night just searching for tights...and approximately 10 min for Turner to take her shoes off tonight and run around on the bare concrete. :) Thanks Mark - you are the best!!

Enough of that....here are the pictures! This is Turner at our booth - Plinko. I actually had someone say to me that they didn't know what Plinko was... Of course I asked so discreetly, "Have you never seen the Price is Right?!" Maybe all kids didn't grow up watching that like Mark and I did?
Throwing beanbags into shapes!
Sliding on the big screen with Daddy

Turner's favorite game was the duck pickup! (It was her mommy's too at the local fair growing up!)

Throwing "stones" at Goliath. (They told us that some kid thought it was a big picture of Jesus. Yes, kids, throw things at Jesus. That's not exactly what we are aiming for....) :)
This little girl got tired so quickly tonight!
Going fishing
And another favorite - digging for treasure in the sand box!
Awesome, awesome, awesome event!! Lots of fun for Parkway people, but an even greater opportunity to reach out to others in the community!

We had a GREAT time! Favorite quote of the night: Kirkley came out of the bouncy obstacle course and said, "That boy scared me! He said BOOGA BOOGA!" So fun to see yall for a minute!
