Winter wonderland!!

The following pictures were all taken this afternoon.

In Auburn, Alabama.

It hasn't really snowed here since last spring.

A co-worker of mine and her husband (mainly her husband) have a very interesting hobby. He makes snow and uses snow guns to spray it all over their backyard, which has been transformed into a rockin' sledding track for friends and neighbors! We dropped by this afternoon for about an hour and a half of awesome fun! They also have a warm fire pit on the back porch to keep cold fingers warm and even serve hot chocolate to the visitors!

Their backyard
Turner was slightly apprehensive about sledding, but I went down with her on the first run (the small kid friendly run).
Do you think she enjoyed this???
Then Turner got a little more brave. She really wanted to climb the big kid sledding run, but once she got to the top with our friend Sarah, she seemed a bit frightened.
I told Sarah to go ahead and go - and Turner (remember, she's a bit of a daredevil anyway) loved it!!We spent lots of time trying to make 'no balls! Turner so badly wanted to take her mittens off to grasp the snow but couldn't stand the cold on those little fingers!
Luckily for Mommy (who was a bit apprehensive of the big kid slide), Daddy was also with us to take Turner on her other rides down the big sled run. I think they did this about three times, Turner probably did it about six times in all with both Daddy, and sweet friends who allowed her to tag along down the ramp.
They add to the snow creations in the yard daily - my co worker said much had been done today while she was at work! In a secluded area away from the sled tracks, they'd created a snow bridge which Turner loved to run across.
By the end of our evening, one of her other favorite activities was just sliding herself (no sled necessary) down the ramp on her belly.
And then she discovered that she just might want to go by herself on a sled. This about scared me to death - but Turner LOVED it.
Can you tell???
And since there's a slight chance we'll see "real" snow this weekend I just have one thing to say about that...."Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!" Thank you Jones family for a fun afternoon!
