More pictures from paradise...

Last week this time we were soaking up the sun, enjoying beautiful weather, eating yummy seafood, and making fun memories with my family down in Grayton Beach, FL.  I have finally had some down time to sift through the 400 pictures taken since the last beach post and I will just let the pictures tell the story of our wonderful trip.  Thank you Tootsie and Pop and BB for a wonderful start to our summer break!

I can't help but comment on the picture below...Turner was running and fell and thought it was the funniest thing ever.  So she did it on purpose over and over as she and Tootsie made their way to the boardwalk.  She is such a source of entertainment and joy for all of us.

This picture was not staged...I guess Turner had seen others do this at the wash-off location throughout the day?

Beautiful BB.

Pop and Tootsie teaching Turner to ride the boogie board. That Turner wanted to bring home with us.  For what??

Turner did a fair amount of playing in the sand and water by herself, which I was happy to see.  Here, she's "bear crawling" backwards down the shoreline.

This picture series makes me so happy.  Two people I just adore, and Pop is helping Turner learn to love the beach like we all do.  I remember playing with my Dad just this way.  Pop is CRAZY about Turner.

Running to show me her treasures...

The waves appeared calm from the shore...and they do in this picture.  I was actually about 5 feet in front of them...let me tell you, the waves weren't as calm as they seem!

This girl LOVES the beach.  Like her Mommy.  And it makes me SO happy.

And this picture is for Turner's Daddy...who repeatedly gave the instruction that Turner was NOT to be on the top bunk.  Well, she didn't sleep there.  :)

As one who grew up 1 hour and 10 min from the nearest beach, and one who grew up making regular "day trips" there in the summer...I am sick to think of what this beautiful piece of our country looks like just 7 days after many of the shots above were taken.  It is so very sad.  The livelihoods of so many have been destroyed in an instant.  I will echo many other bloggers, please don't stop visiting our beaches! The people who invest their lives in those areas need our support!

Such great pictures, as always.... I'm looking into getting a "real" camera (meaning not using my iphone ALL the time). What kind do you have?
